We introduced chaos engineering in 2019 to improve the confidence in our next generation cloud workflow engine, named Zeebe, and to help find issues before users do. This year, we went a step further and introduced game days to the cloud department. Learn what this means in this talk.

Christopher Zell is a passionate software engineer and problem solver, who lives and codes by the motto: there are no problems only challenges. For the last five years he’s worked for Camunda as a distributed systems engineer on the Zeebe project, focusing on stability topics and running regular chaos experiments to build up confidence in the software. He was the driver behind introducing chaos engineering to Zeebe and also manages and facilitates disaster game days at Camunda.
