The DHS Science and Technology OIP Portal provides a secure web-based application for automating the administration of the proposal lifecycle for Industry Partnership Programs. It supports and manages several programs including Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Broad Agency Announcements (BAA) and Silicon Valley Innovation Program (SVIP). The workflow-based portal is used for publishing solicitations and managing their lifecycle through submission, review, approval, award and administration phases. The Camunda Workflow Engine that is integrated into this portal is deployed to a cluster of cloud instances on AWS GovCloud and is invoked by serverless microservices at various points in the proposal life cycle.
