 For an air ambulance operator, every hour spent planning is an hour a patient waits. RedStar Aviation flies missions across Europe and the Middle East, and its Operations Control Centre (OCC) used to plan every flight request by hand. The team moved information between several tools to choose an aircraft, assign crew and check flight time limits, and handovers could take days.
In this session, RedStar shows how Camunda turned that work into one governed process that plans a mission in about two hours. Every decision is traceable, and if something fails, the mission goes straight to replanning instead of getting lost in an inbox. When you fly across borders and answer to several regulators, that consistency matters.
RedStar also added an AI copilot. The agent presents ranked crew and aircraft options and explains them to the operator, but the ranking itself is deterministic and auditable. Camunda decides, the agent explains, and the operator makes the call. You’ll see why this mix of speed and governance is what makes AI safe to use in a safety-critical operation.
